Hello, I'm 16 years old and have a baby boy (born oct. 8th,
98) He was born with a cleft lip and palate and something that
our pediatrition calls "lip pits" He's going for his
lip repair January 20th, 1999. I didn't know of his cleft lip and
palate until he was born but I took it very well and haven't had
any trouble coping emotionally. I was hopeing to talk to more
people who have babies who are going through simmilar things or
people with children who have gone through it. If there are any
other teenagers or Canadians I'd like to hear from them too.

I HAVE BEEN THE PARENT OF A SON WITH CLEFT LIP AND PALATE FOR
16 MONTHS NOW. I ADMIRE YOUR ABILITY TO HANDLE THE SITUATION YOU
HAVE SO WELL. I'M 25 AND MY BABY'S FATHER IS 23. OUR SON HAD
PALATE SURGERY IN OCT. 1998. IF I CAN HELP, LET ME KNOW.
