Feedings with Cleft Lip and Palate

Postby Colleen » Sun Jan 17, 1999 5:26 pm

My nephew was born with a cleft lip and palate. At the
hospital the nurses gave my brother a special nipple with a false
rubber palate attached, and the nipple works wonderfully. My
problem is they have not been able to find anymore of these
nipples. If anyone has any answers on where they can be found I
would really appreciate it if you would e-mail me at
Leeners24@aol.com.

Thank you Colleen

The nipple you are speaking of sounds like a
"Chu-Chu" cleft palet teat made by a company called
"Traz" sold in Australia. We use this teat for our son
with a bilateral palet and unilateral palet and have had
wonderful results.
