My son was born with a cleft of the soft palate and I need
info regarding doctor's and hospitals in So. California who
specialize in cases like this. I would appreciate any help and
maybe help us in understanding the situation especially for new
parents like us.

Be careful if you use Children's Hospital LA My daughter went
in for a cleft palate repair and ended up with an infart due to
the lack of supervision and them NOT assiging a doctor to look
after surgery in her room. Her throat got swollen and stopped
breathing. She was in the hospital in rehab for 2 1/2 months and
$112,000 bill later they still do not know what happen?

highly recommended by our pediatrician. Our plastic sugeons name
is Dr. Thomas Vecchione in Hillcrest, San Diego. Our pediatrician
is Dr. Stephen Balch in Encinitas Ca. 760-436-4511. Dr. Vecchione
is a very warm and compassionate man. As well as his staff. Give
