I know this is a site for those with clefts but I have a question for all of you anyway. You may remember my son, Eyson. He was born unilateral cleft lip and bilateral cleft palate. He's just 2 years old but i am extremely concerened about him showing signs of autism. Do any of you have experience with this?

I have a nephew with autism and work with children and adults on the spectrum. The following websites may be helpful. http://www.autism.com/ari/atec/index.htm
www.autismtreatmentcenter.org/ (I volunteered in in two Son-Rise programs) They'll send you free DVDs.
I also participate on a autism-mercury@yahoogroups.com which is a very busy list.
I'll be glad to share an autism resource list I've compiled and other info. Feel free to contact me here or off-list.

If your son Eyson stops speaking entirely after having been speaking before, it might be a sign that he has autism. Have him evaluated before coming to any conclusions.
